The piece

Every piece is five groups: a lock state, a visor noise pane, a helmet body, sometimes an edge trim, and a backdrop behind the whole plate. All five come from one seed, and the seed comes from the swap that earned it. Same swap, same piece, every time. The lock state is the one that actually changes as you use the piece: sealed, needing a reseal, or revealed for good.

Anatomy of a piece

The numbered badges below label the four parts, drawn on the site's shared preview tile: no outlines anywhere, the only ink in the picture is the pair of eyes. The example combination shown here (square body, crown trim, soft lime visor, satin white lock state) is chosen only to make every part visible at once; it is not a rarity claim.

Every option of every trait

Each tile below is drawn by docs/js/docs-tile.js from the real weight table in js/snag-market.js, the platform's shared preview system, with the other traits held at their most common pick so the changing part is easy to see. The number under each tile is its weight out of 1000.

Limit

This preview uses the platform's shared tile art, not CIPHR's own voxel helmet and visor noise. The finished public artwork, matching the private visor a holder actually unlocks, is planned and not built yet.

Same swap, same piece: a worked example

This is not a real buy. It uses one illustrative, clearly placeholder field set to show the exact arithmetic js/snag-market.js runs, computed by docs/build-docs.mjs and written to docs/js/docs-data.js, never typed by hand on this page.

Packed in that order and hashed with keccak256, those four fields give the seed:

Reading that seed five ways, two hex characters (parsed as a 12-bit-range pick out of 1000) per trait group, in the order helmet body, edge trim, visor pane, lock state, backdrop, gives this piece:

body, trim, visor, lock state, backdrop.

This exact mix: 1 in

Demo values in $CIPHR. Try 250K, 1M, 5M or 15M. The demo minimum is 500K; the 250K buy gets no piece. These amounts are illustrative, not the collection minimum.

Change any one of the four fields and every trait can change, because the whole seed changes. Keep all four the same and the piece is identical every time, which is what lets a buyer's own wallet, swap number and amount reproduce this preview before it ever lands. This seed is separate from the visor secret itself: the secret behind the lock state is fresh private randomness generated inside the enrolled CVM, separate from the buy.
